It has been reported that the name of the guardian of Paradise is Ridwan in some hadiths, among them a hadith from Ubayy ibn Ka'b, in which it is stated that whoever recites Surat Ya-Sin at the time of death agony, Ridwan will bring him a drink from Paradise, and the Angel of Death will seize his soul while he is quenched. It was also reported in a hadith from Anas that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When the first night of Ramadan comes, Allah calls Ridwan, the guardian of Paradise, to adorn Paradise for the fasting people." Al-Qurtubi mentioned that Ridwan, the guardian of Paradise, descended upon the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with this verse: "and make for you palaces."
