Is a father entitled to take his employed son's salary, knowing that the father is well-off and the son is in dire need of his salary? And is the father's demand for his children to repay their study expenses considered a debt?

A father should not consider what he spent on his son during his childhood, poverty, or study period as a debt, nor does he have the right to demand it from his salary. This is because educating the son is a right obligatory upon the father and a requirement of his responsibility. However, if the father is in need and the son is wealthy, it is permissible for the father to take from his son's money without extravagance, whether with or without the son's permission, due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "You and your wealth belong to your father." Therefore, the father does not have the right to take his son's salary as long as the son is in need of it, to avert harm.
