Is it permissible for a financially able and employed father to demand his single daughter's salary, or a portion of it, given that she is pursuing postgraduate studies and her job is not permanent?

The majority of jurists hold the view that a father does not have the right to take from his son's wealth without his consent if the son is self-sufficient. This contrasts with the Hanbalis, who believe that a father may take from his son's wealth even without a need, provided he does not harm the wealth or give it to another child. Accordingly, what the father demands that would harm the daughter or diminish her wealth is not obligatory for her to give. As for what would not harm her, it is better for her to give it, and she will have a great reward for doing so.
