Is it forbidden to see a psychiatrist because of suffering from unrequited love, excessive thoughts of marriage, and lack of self-confidence?

What has afflicted you is neither magic nor a psychological illness, but rather a disease of the heart that Satan and his whispers have afflicted with forbidden love. This disease is caused by forbidden glances, corrupt imaginations, and false hopes. To cure this ailment, one must block the paths leading to it by refraining from forbidden glances and lowering the gaze, as Allah Almighty has commanded.

The greatest aid to preserving one's chastity is marriage, if it is affordable, or striving for marriage to achieve chastity and protect oneself. Until that is possible, one must occupy the heart and body with obedience to Allah, narrow the devil's entry points, and fast for those who cannot marry.

Among the most beneficial treatments is sincere recourse to Allah and persistent supplication. Remember that the other party does not reciprocate your feelings, and what you are doing is forbidden. You must be patient and seek chastity until Allah enriches you.
