Is it permissible to pronounce the Name of Allah (Tasmiyah) and engage in remembrance (Dhikr) for one whose money, food, drink, means of transportation, or sacrificial animal (Uḍḥiyah) comes from unlawful earnings, considering that the remembrance of Allah is not permissible when committing a sin?

This person must repent to Allah and adhere to the work contract, due to the Almighty’s saying: {Fulfill your contracts}. He must also return any salary he took without working to his employer, unless the employer permits it through a lawful means. As for saying Bismillah (Tasmiah) before the mentioned matters, it is permissible, and Tasmiah is permissible for a disobedient person in all his states, except what the Shariah has exempted. There is no difference between him and others, as the intent of the fatwa (definition) is not to mention Allah as a means to commit disobedience. Tasmiah is recommended even on usurped things, because their prohibition is incidental, unlike what is inherently forbidden, such as adultery and drinking alcohol.
