Does divorce occur by imagining uttering the phrase "you are divorced" without awareness, will, or intention, and without completing the sentence? 4. Does divorce occur by saying to the wife: "I will count them as two, and I will be relieved of this doubt," knowing that you have not divorced her? 5. Does divorce occur by saying "enough" when angry, with the intention of divorce by that, and then the wife speaks on the same subject? 6. Does divorce occur by repeating "you are not my wife" and "the three divorces have occurred" for three days with the intention of freeing yourself from doubt? And was there any suspension of divorce at the end of the conversation between you?

Divorce occurs through an explicit verbal utterance of it, or through an allusion combined with the intention of the husband who is acting out of his own free will. It does not occur through self-talk or a mere intention. The divorce pronounced by someone suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder () who utters it involuntarily does not take effect. If there is doubt about uttering the divorce or intending it, the divorce does not occur. It is advisable to present the matter to trustworthy scholars.
