Am I wrong in my relationship with my deceased father, and how can I erase my sin if one exists?

If a father wrongs his children and the children respond with kindness, maintaining visits, comforting their father, and caring for him until his death, this is not considered mistreatment of the father. If any shortcoming or mistreatment occurs from the children towards the father due to a stumble or slip, while their intention is righteous and they are sincere in honoring their parents, then Allah forgives it, as Allah Almighty says: "Your Lord is most knowing of what is within yourselves. If you should be righteous, then indeed He is ever Forgiving to the repentant." (Al-Isra: 25). Any shortcomings can be expiated by supplicating for the father after his death, giving charity on his behalf, honoring his friends, and maintaining ties with his relatives, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Praying for them, seeking forgiveness for them, fulfilling their pledges after their death, maintaining the ties of kinship that are not maintained except through them, and honoring their friend."
