Must one make up prayers missed over many years after committing to prayer at the age of 17?

Whoever has intentionally abandoned prayer must hasten to sincere repentance and maintain prayer in the future. They must also make up all the prayers missed after reaching puberty. This is the opinion of the majority of scholars and is the more cautious approach. These prayers can be made up at any time, day or night, as one is able.
