What is the part of the feet that must be uncovered when wearing permissible footwear during Ihram, according to the Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali schools of thought?

A pilgrim in the state of ihram is prohibited from wearing shirts, turbans, trousers, burnooses, and khuffs (leather slippers). However, if he cannot find sandals, he may wear khuffs after cutting them below the ankles. The two ankles, according to the majority of jurists, are the two protruding bones at the joint of the leg and foot. The Sunnah is for the pilgrim performing Hajj or Umrah to enter the state of ihram in an izar (waist wrapper) and a rida’ (upper garment). The rida’ is placed over the shoulders, and the izar is wrapped around the lower part of the body. It is also recommended for the ihram garments to be white in color.
