Is it right to break off an engagement because the suitor insists on paying money to get a job and refuses the lawful alternative, which is a legitimate business?

However, if he obtained a job for which someone else was more deserving, he must repent and remain in his job if he performs it correctly. It is permissible to continue dealing with him in both cases. But if he is not qualified for the work, he must leave it for someone who deserves it. If he does not leave it, it is advisable to keep away from him and not associate with him.
