Is it permissible for a girl with a hernia to contract marriage (aqd) with a man according to Sharia without informing him, knowing that she will undergo surgery before consummation?

If the hernia is a minor ailment whose effects disappear after an operation and does not incapacitate the woman from performing her duties as a wife, then there is no obligation to inform the suitor about it, though it is preferable to inform him. However, if it leaves her with weakness and an inability to fulfill the rights of the husband, then it is obligatory to inform him, based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever deceives is not one of us," and "There should be no harm nor reciprocating harm."
