Is it permissible for a father to change the agreed-upon conditions of marriage after the Fatiha has been recited and the mahr and wedding day have been set, and to add conditions such as the daughter completing her higher education and working, and the husband isolating himself from his parents, despite the daughter's objection to these conditions, and given that the father is an Imam of a mosque and knows the Prophet's saying, peace and blessings be upon him: "If someone whose religion and character you approve of comes to you seeking marriage, then marry him"?

A woman has the right to study and work, provided she adheres to the guidelines, such as not adorning herself or wearing perfume when going out, not crowding men or speaking with them except out of necessity, avoiding a soft voice, not being in seclusion with them, and avoiding any situation that might cause fitna. However, even with these guidelines, it is more befitting for her to leave work and higher education, in response to the Almighty's saying: "And abide in your houses" [Al-Ahzab: 33]. The husband is not obligated to allow his wife to complete her studies or work unless it was a condition stipulated in the marriage contract.
