What is the ruling on using an audio Quran recording from which verses have been cut and their order changed, given the possibility of muting the sound at the points of defect?

Every Surah in the Qur’an is a unit with interconnected meanings and style. Any disruption to this would confuse the listener. If the recording is in this state (skipping some verses), it should be destroyed. If it involves the deletion of parts of words, then it is obligatory to destroy it.
