The answer

Allah has made the Qur’an a healing and a mercy for the believers. The Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Companions used to recite over the sick, and sometimes this recitation included spitting lightly with saliva. It has been reported from some of theaf (pious predecessors) that certain verses were recited over water, which was then poured over the sick person, or that verses of the Qur’an were written and then drunk. As for the water changing during the ritual bath (), if it is not due to bodily dirt, then one should refer to reliable and trustworthy experts regarding it. This should not prevent one from continuing with legitimate (Islamic exorcism/healing).
