How can one respond to a non-Muslim friend who inquires about the status of women in Islam, the validity of the idea that a father's entry into Paradise is linked to having daughters, the concept of a woman completing half of a man's religion through marriage to him, and Paradise being beneath the feet of mothers, all while he questions the position of women who have not given birth or have not married?

Marriage is a prophetic tradition and a human instinct. Its meaning of completing half of one's faith lies in the mutual support between spouses, as affirmed by the noble Hadith and the saying of Ibn Uthaymeen. Marriage and family contribute to fulfilling servitude to God and giving meaning to life. Refusing marriage with the intention of drawing closer to God is an innovation (bid'ah) and a violation of the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, as mentioned in the Hadith of the three individuals. As for someone who chooses not to marry as a permissible personal choice, it is disliked but not forbidden, unless they fear falling into adultery.
