Is it obligatory to make up the missed days and fast for two consecutive months, or is it only obligatory to make up the missed days for someone who committed "zina of the eye" during the daytime in Ramadan until semen was discharged?

Persisting in looking, which leads to the emission of semen, necessitates only a compensatory fast (qada') and not expiation (kaffara), and ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) becomes obligatory. The one who commits this act must repent to Allah for this sin. Allah has commanded lowering the gaze in His Almighty words: (Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and guard their private parts.) It is also narrated in the Hadith (definition): "Do not follow a glance with another glance, for you are allowed the first, but not the second." This act is considered the fornication of the eyes, so a Muslim should occupy themselves with obedience to Allah and ask Him for protection from error.
