What is the meaning of the supplication "Hasbi Allahu wa Ni‘mal Wakeel" (Allah is sufficient for me, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs), and what is its rank with Allah? Is it the highest rank for the supplication of the oppressed? When is it said? Is uttering it against a Muslim a heinous act? Is it true that "it is impermissible to challenge this supplication after it has been uttered"? If so, what remains for the oppressor? Is there expiation? Is it commendable to say, "I hope to Allah that no human being ever utters it against me"?

"Sufficient for me is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs" (Hasbi Allahu wa Ni'mal Wakeel) is a great supplication whose legitimacy is mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah. Prophets and Companions said it during times of hardship. Its meaning is that Allah is sufficient and a helper for His servant, and He is the best disposer of affairs. The virtue of this supplication is manifested in Allah's sufficiency for the one who relies on Him in this world and the Hereafter. It is recited in times of fear, distress, and injustice. As for the oppressor, there is nothing for him but repentance and returning what he has unjustly taken, because there is no barrier between the supplication of the oppressed and Allah.
