What is the way to deal with a 19-year-old son who was keen on being raised Islamically, but now takes drugs, misses school, rejects everything that is in his best interest, and asks for money to buy cigarettes and drugs, knowing that the rest of the family members are conservative and of good character?

It is recommended to supplicate for the rectification of one's son, to seek help from educational specialists, to read books on educational psychology, to connect him with righteous youth, to keep him away from bad company, to provide permissible recreational activities, and to connect him with Islamic websites. It is forbidden to give him money that he will spend on cigarettes and drugs because that is assisting in what is unlawful, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression."
