Islamic Sharia prohibits the violation of others' privacy, and email is a part of a person's private domain. Therefore, hacking into an email account is forbidden, except in specific cases. It is not permissible to steal an email account for the purpose of tampering or joking, and whoever does so is required to repent and return the email to its owner. It is permissible to seize the email of someone known for transgressing against people, provided certain conditions are met: certainty of their aggression, immediate deletion of messages without viewing or saving them, and a strong presumption that this method will be beneficial. It is also permissible to seize the emails of criminals and corrupt individuals, whether disbelievers or Muslims, to track their plans and monitor their actions, provided certain conditions are met: certainty or strong presumption of their corruption, that the monitoring is carried out by a group or an entity and not by an individual, and the avoidance of retaining people's private information or tracking their personal matters.
