What is the ruling on the family of the deceased standing in a single line in the graveyard to receive condolences after burial, or in the house of mourning to receive mourners between Maghrib and Isha? And what is the ruling on excessively using the phrase "al-Habib (the Beloved), may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him" when mentioning the Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him?

It is permissible for the family of the deceased to receive condolences at the graveyard before or after the burial, whether they stand in a single line or dispersed, to facilitate the access of those offering condolences to them. However, their sitting at home to receive condolences is not from the Sunnah. Rather, the bereaved should be offered condolences wherever they are found. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen clarified that there is no harm in the family of the deceased receiving condolences at the graveyard, while he considered their sitting at home to receive condolences an innovation (bid'ah), because it was not practiced by the Companions. The Sunnah is to offer condolences to the bereaved wherever they are found, without designating a specific place or time for it.
