It is permissible to despise a disobedient relative for their disobedience while retaining love for their Islam and kinship. It is also permissible to boycott them if the boycott leads to their reform; otherwise, it is better to continue maintaining ties with them while offering advice. The believer should extend their mercy to the disobedient, while condemning the evil act and despising the sin, not hating the disobedient person for their own sake. The sister and mother should be reminded gently and courteously of the impermissibility of mocking a Muslim for adhering to the rituals of their religion, such as the hijab.
