What is the ruling on satanic whispers (waswas) related to disbelief (kufr) and the Mother, and is a person held accountable for them, and how should one deal with them?

A Muslim is not held accountable for inner whisperings (waswasah), as his aversion to them indicates the soundness of his faith. Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah clarified that a believer's affliction with whisperings of disbelief, which cause him distress, coupled with his intense dislike and repulsion of them, is a sign of pure faith. He pointed out that these whisperings are inevitable for most people; some succumb to them and become disbelievers, while others repel them, thus purifying their faith.

Moreover, one whose Islam is established with certainty is not removed from it by doubt. Therefore, it is recommended to fear Allah, occupy oneself with beneficial deeds, not follow the footsteps of Satan, and turn away from these whisperings without dwelling on them. It is also advised not to listen to music-accompanied songs or those containing obscene language.
