What is the ruling on one who makes a mistake in reciting the Qur’an during prayer?

Errors in reciting the Quran during prayer are of two types:

1. Errors that do not change the meaning (minor لحن): These do not affect the validity of the prayer, but it is recommended to learn correct recitation.

2. Errors that change the meaning:

If the error is in Al-Fatihah: It invalidates the prayer, because Al-Fatihah is a pillar [of prayer], and an error that changes its meaning compromises it.

If the error is not in Al-Fatihah: It does not invalidate the prayer.
