Is it permissible to connect one izar of ihram to another with sewing to lengthen it, or is this considered among the forbidden sewn garments?

Talfiq (combining) a long izar (waist-wrapper) from two short izars made of thread that is forbidden for a pilgrim in ihram to wear is not considered among the prohibited stitched garments. This is because the reality of the stitched garment (al-makheet) that is forbidden for a pilgrim in ihram to wear is that which encompasses the limbs and is tailored to fit the body or a limb, such that it encloses it and stays on by itself, whether by stitching or otherwise. It does not mean merely that which contains stitching. Imam Al-Nawawi mentioned that the criterion for this is any worn garment made to fit the body or a part of it, such that it encloses it, whether by stitching or otherwise.
