How is Zakat to be paid on a monthly salary of 5,000 Egyptian Pounds, knowing that I have been living in rented accommodation for 15 years and my employment contract has a year and a half remaining?

Zakat is not obligatory on salary unless what remains of it reaches the equivalent of the nisab (85 grams of gold), either by itself or by combining it with money or trade goods, and a full lunar year has passed over it. In that case, zakat becomes obligatory on it, even if it is earmarked for rent, as long as a full year has passed over it.
