Is following the episodes of Ustad Amru Khalid, which present controversial views on women's issues and art and contradict some Prophetic hadiths, considered a violation of Sharia, and does he have evidence for what he presents, and what advice should be given to those who follow him indiscriminately?

The scholars have unanimously agreed on the prohibition of a woman traveling without a mahram. A Muslim submits to Allah's command and surrenders to it. Allah Almighty says: "The only statement of the believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, 'We hear and we obey.' And those are the successful."

The claim that the Prophet said concerning women, "deficient in intellect and religion," is a jest, is a fabrication against him. Likewise, the claim that polygyny without a reason is an injustice to women is a rejection of Allah's ruling. Allah Almighty says: "And who is more astray than one who follows his own desire without guidance from Allah?"

One of the signs of the Hour is the prominence of those unqualified to issue fatwas. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah does not seize knowledge by snatching it from the people, but rather He seizes it by taking away the scholars, until when He leaves no scholar, people will take ignorant leaders. They will be asked, and they will issue fatwas without knowledge, so they will go astray and lead others astray." A fatwa must be taken from one whose knowledge, trustworthiness, and adherence to the truth are reliable. Issuing a fatwa without knowledge is one of the gravest sins. Allah Almighty says: "Say, 'My Lord has only forbidden immoralities – what is apparent of them and what is concealed – and sin, and oppression without right, and that you associate with Allah that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you say about Allah that which you do not know.'"

The danger of issuing a fatwa without knowledge may extend to society. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever is given a fatwa without knowledge, its sin is on the one who gave it." And Allah knows best.
