How sound is the sacred Hadith (Hadith Qudsi): "Tell My servants to say 'Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh' (There is no might nor power except with Allah) ten times in the morning, ten times in the evening, and ten times before sleep. It will ward off the machinations of Satan from them in the evening, and it will ward off My worst wrath in the morning"?

The aforementioned Hadith: "Allah Almighty says: Tell your Ummah to say: 'There is no might or power except with Allah' ten times in the morning, ten times in the evening, and ten times before sleep. It will avert from them the afflictions of this world when they sleep, the machinations of Satan in the evening, and My worst anger in the morning" – it was not possible to ascertain its ruling regarding authenticity or weakness.

However, authentic Ahadith have been reported concerning the فضيلة (virtue) of "لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله" (There is no might or power except with Allah), among them that it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise, and that it is something to be said frequently.

Among what is recited ten times in the morning and evening is: "لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، له الملك، وله الحمد، وهو على كل شيء قدير" (There is no god but Allah alone, without any partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things competent). This dhikr (remembrance) has great virtue in protecting its reciter from Satan, recording good deeds, and raising ranks.
