What was the end of the king of the People of the Ditch, and how did Allah destroy him?

Firstly: A Muslim should focus their questions and research on what benefits them in their religious and worldly life, drawing inspiration from the methodology of the Prophet, peace be upon him. He used to direct questioners to what was more important, as in the hadith of the questioner about the Hour, where the Prophet said: "What have you prepared for it?"

Secondly: There was a difference of opinion among the Salaf regarding the identification of the People of the Ditch (Aṣḥāb al-Ukhdūd) and their location. All the ditches mentioned fall under the ruling of the noble verse.

Thirdly: No مرفوع (marfūʿ) hadith has been reported that clarifies the punishment of the People of the Ditch or their ultimate fate. However, some of the Salaf mentioned that fire emerged towards the disbelievers at the edge of the ditch and burned them. Thus, they suffered the torment of burning in this world and the torment of Hell in the Hereafter. Among the benefits of this story is the ambiguity of the disbelievers' punishment in this world, and that the true recompense will be in the Hereafter, and that the tribulations that befall believers in this world elevate their ranks and serve as a lesson for those who remain.
