Is it permissible to take money in exchange for mediating the employment of a person in a company?

Intercession and mediation for the benefit of people are commendable, based on the Almighty's saying: "Whoever intercedes with a good intercession will have a share from it," and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Intercede and you will be rewarded." It is among the contracts of assistance and righteousness, so it is not permissible to take compensation for it.
