For a marriage to be valid, the presence of a guardian (wali) and witnesses is required. The public announcement of the marriage is recommended but not a condition for its validity. Marriages resulting from online acquaintances often end in failure due to deception and a lack of true knowledge about the other party. It is difficult to ascertain the sincerity of the woman's conversion to Islam. Residing in non-Muslim countries is impermissible except out of necessity or a recognized legal need, and merely seeking employment is not a valid justification. A woman's travel without a mahram is legally prohibited. Therefore, it is preferable not to proceed with this marriage. The woman can be directed to Islamic centers to be taught about Islam and assisted with marriage.
