ما هو الحكم الشرعي في قضية النصف ساق، وتربية اللحية وعدم إنقاصها أو حلقها؟
Shortening garments to mid-calf requires clarification: For the izar (lower garment), it is recommended to be at the calf muscle, or mid-calf, or down to the ankles, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The izar of the believer is to the calf muscle, then to mid-calf, then to his ankles. Whatever is below that is in the Hellfire." As for the thawb (upper garment/qamis), it is preferable for it to be from below mid-calf down to the ankles. It is not recommended to shorten it to mid-calf or the calf muscle, as this might lead to the exposure of the awrah (private parts), and because the manner of dress necessitates concealment and adornment. As for letting the garment hang below the ankles (isbal), it is forbidden. As for growing the beard, it is obligatory, and it is forbidden to shave it or take anything from it except what exceeds a fistful.
