What is the ruling on marrying a foreign woman when the laws of the country prohibit it, and what is the ruling on marrying a woman from a country known for corruption when the husband knows nothing about her except what she has stated about herself?

There is no impediment to marrying a woman whose condition is unknown. However, it is preferable to choose a woman of religious commitment and good character, due to the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "A woman is married for four things: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, or for her religion. So, succeed with the one who is religious, and may your hands be dusted with earth."
