Is the woman who seeks divorce from her husband — who had an illicit relationship with another woman, then repeated the same act with a third woman, and does not provide for her, nor does he maintain her chastity — held accountable, despite her attempts to advise him and remind him of Allah?

A woman is permitted to request a divorce if there is a valid justification, such as the husband engaging in sinful relationships. This is based on the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "Any woman who asks her husband for a divorce without any compelling reason, the fragrance of Paradise will be forbidden to her."

It is preferable for the wife to strive to reform her husband, help him repent, and demand that he provide for her and treat her kindly. If she chooses to remain with him, she must treat him kindly and safeguard his honor and wealth, in accordance with Allah's (the Most High) saying: "So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard."
