There is no zakat on gold prepared for wearing, according to the majority of scholars, whether it is actually worn or not. The criterion is its preparation for use. It is also irrelevant whether it is kept at home or in a bank, because zakat is waived from items prepared for personal use.

Zakat is obligatory on funds saved in banks, provided they meet the stipulated conditions: it is due on the principal and profits in Islamic banks, and on the principal only in usurious banks. However, the forbidden interest from usurious banks must be spent on general Muslim welfare.
