What is the ruling on one who says: "Why did God make me like this?" And is this utterance considered an objection to divine decree and an act of disbelief?

If the question about God's actions and His wisdom is intended as an objection or an impugnment of His wisdom, glorified be He, then it is forbidden and may even reach the point of disbelief. However, if it is intended as an inquiry and a request to know the wisdom, with absolute submission to God's wisdom, then there is no harm in it. The foundation of servitude and faith is built upon complete submission to God's commands, prohibitions, and laws without questioning the details of the wisdom, so a believer should not make their compliance conditional on knowing the wisdom. Scholars have differentiated between questioning with the intent of obstinacy and contention, and questioning with the intent of seeking knowledge and dispelling ignorance. Indeed, Allah, glorified be He, is not to be questioned about what He does, due to the perfection of His wisdom, mercy, and justice.
