What is the ruling on a menstruating woman placing the Mus'haf (Qur'an) on her lap and turning its pages, knowing that it is not permissible for her to touch the Mus'haf?

A menstruating woman is permitted to recite the Qur’an, but she is not allowed to touch the Mushaf directly. There is no harm in placing the Mushaf on the thigh, as this is not considered a desecration of it. Indeed, Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen permitted placing the Mushaf in one's pocket, provided it is not near the buttocks when sitting. It is preferable to place the Mushaf on a table or similar surface for greater reverence and preservation.
