Is it legislated for those who are outside the mosque and prayed Jumu'ah in it to perform Tahiyyat al-Masjid, given the continuity of rows and prayer rugs?

The Friday prayer is valid in the aforementioned places if the mosque becomes too small for the worshippers, but one is not legally required to perform Tahiyyat al-Masjid (greeting the mosque prayer) there. It is permissible to pray there as a general voluntary prayer (nafl) and not as Tahiyyat al-Masjid, provided this voluntary prayer is performed before the start of the sermon. However, if it is during the sermon, then the majority of jurists hold that it is obligatory to sit down and listen attentively. Furthermore, the Malikis even believe that it is not permissible for someone who enters the mosque during the sermon to start praying, and this includes those who are outside the mosque and are not originally required to perform Tahiyyat al-Masjid. They justified this by the obligation to listen attentively, and that the preponderant opinion is the absolute prohibition of speaking during the sermon, whether inside the mosque, within its courtyards, or outside it, and whether one hears the sermon or not.
