Is it permissible to divorce a girl who has been legally contracted to marry, while giving her all her rights, in order to marry another girl, and is there any injustice to her in that?
What is known as "love relationships" between young men and women is forbidden in Islamic law and necessitates repentance. If a man wishes to marry a woman and his father refuses their marriage without a valid reason, he is not obligated to obey him, especially if the young man is harmed by abandoning the marriage to her. A father does not have the right to force his son to marry someone he does not desire. If you do not love your wife and wish to divorce her, there is no sin upon you. However, it is advisable not to divorce a righteous wife, and if there is no harm in abandoning the marriage to the other girl, then obey your father and marry the one he chose for you; for Allah may place abundant good in her.
