Does the story of Istikharah and the facilitation of travel affairs indicate that what Allah has chosen is good, in the context of living in disbelieving lands for the purpose of work?

The fundamental principle regarding residence in non-Muslim countries is prohibition. However, it is permissible in cases where a Muslim is secure in their faith and can avert doubts and temptations. A dream seen after performing Istikhara might be a result of the Istikhara itself or the psychological state of the person performing it. Dreams are of three types: a righteous dream from Allah, a dream of sorrow from Satan, and a dream reflecting what one talks to oneself about. Istikhara does not rely on dreams, but rather on a feeling of contentment in the heart and the facilitation of circumstances, while observing the Sharia ruling. The measure of goodness in travel is the extent of one's steadfastness in obedience to Allah and security from tribulation.
