What is the ruling on a wife who refuses her husband's invitation to bed if he is the one who wronged her and she cannot forgive him, knowing that the angels curse a woman if her husband spends the night angry with her?

It is not permissible for a wife to refuse her husband's call to bed, unless he oppresses her; some scholars have issued fatwas permitting her to distance herself from him in such a case, but this often increases discord between them. The husband must fear Allah concerning his wife and fulfill her rights, as Allah Almighty said: "And due to them is [reciprocation] of what is upon them, in a just manner, and for men is a degree over them [in responsibility and authority]. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise." (Al-Baqarah:228).
