How can the Hadith of Tamim Al-Dari concerning the Dajjal (Antichrist), and that he is alive until his emergence, be reconciled with the Prophet’s Hadith, "There will be no Companion alive after the year 110 AH"?

The hadith of Tamim Al-Dari indicates that the Dajjal is alive and present, and this does not contradict the hadith "No one on the face of the earth will remain"; because the hadith of Tamim is specific, and the hadith of Ibn Umar is general, so the specific is an exception to the general. Al-Shinqiti explained in "Adwa' Al-Bayan" that the Dajjal was excepted by a sound text, and this confirms the jurisprudential rule that the general remains an argument regarding its individual instances unless a specific text comes to particularize it.
