What is the ruling on paying a sum of money to a soldier for him to replace the payer?

Giving money can be a forbidden bribe if the intention behind it is to invalidate a right or validate a falsehood. A bribe is what is given to rule by falsehood or to achieve something false.

Therefore, if the purpose of giving money is to gain something to which you have no right, it is a forbidden bribe.

However, if the money is given to a person to accept an exchange without violating work regulations, or if the person giving the money is entitled to the exchange and gives money to someone who mediates for him to reach his right, there is no harm in that. In this case, it is considered a permissible commission (ju'alah), not a forbidden bribe.
