Is it permissible to marry a half-sister from the father only?

Allah has forbidden marriage to sisters. This prohibition includes full sisters and half-sisters, meaning those from both parents, from the father only, or from the mother only. This is confirmed by His exalted saying: ﴿Forbidden to you are your mothers, your daughters, and your sisters﴾. There is no difference in this regard between a close sister and a distant one, for her brother is one of her unmarriageable kin (mahram).
