Is a man required to caress his wife before intercourse if she is in pain or does not achieve orgasm without it, especially when breaking the hymen?

Foreplay before or during intercourse is not obligatory. However, it is desirable to precede it with foreplay and kisses, so that the encounter does not become animalistic. It is also desirable for the man to wait until the woman fulfills her need, and he must begin with "Bismillah" (in the name of Allah) and recite the prescribed supplication. All these etiquettes are desirable; a Muslim will be rewarded for observing them if he intends thereby to comply with the divine command, but they are not obligatory unless their omission leads to depriving the wife of her right to enjoyment.
