What is the ruling on a wife leaving for her family's house for a month and weaning her son without her husband's knowledge?

If the wife leaves her husband's house with his permission, there is no sin upon her. However, if she leaves without his permission or without necessity, she is sinful and disobedient (nashiz), and he has the right to withhold her maintenance and discipline her.

As for weaning a child without the husband's knowledge before the two years and without necessity, it is not permissible unless the wife knows of his consent, because weaning (fisaal) should only occur with the consent of both parents, and the matter is for whoever wishes to complete the suckling for two years. The mother is not obligated to breastfeed except in specific cases.
