What is the ruling on one who abandons the work of the heart but not the limbs, and vice versa, taking into account that faith is the affirmation of the heart, tongue, and limbs, and that one who abandons the work of the limbs entirely, despite the work of the heart, does not have valid faith?

Faith, according to the Sunnis, is a declaration by the tongue, a firm belief in the heart, and action by the limbs. It is not valid without these. So, whoever does not act with their limbs and believe firmly in their heart is not a believer, and mere utterance will not benefit them due to the absence of the root of faith, which is the heart's firm belief. Likewise, whoever abandons the action of the heart alone is not a believer. And whoever believes firmly in their heart but does not declare with their tongue and act with their limbs is not a believer. Faith is belief, declaration, and action; one is not sufficient without the other.
