Many religious texts indicate that a servant's entry into Paradise is by their deeds, but their deeds do not necessitate this entry as an equivalent exchange or a right. This is because the deeds of servants cannot equal God's blessings upon them. Rather, the servant's deeds are only fit to be a cause or a condition for entering Paradise, by the grace and mercy of God, as stated in the Hadith (definition): "No one will enter Paradise by his deeds."

The meaning of the Almighty's saying: "This is the Paradise you have inherited for what you used to do" is that good deeds are a cause for entering Paradise.

As for the Hadith: "No one will enter Paradise by his deeds," it negates the idea that recompense from God is in the manner of an exchange or quid pro quo, like exchanges between people. For deeds are not a sufficient price for entering Paradise; rather, God's pardon, grace, and mercy are indispensable.

If this principle is understood, then there is no harm in using phrases such as "down payment for Paradise" or "price of Paradise" in a figurative and broad sense, as stated in religious texts and the expressions of the Salaf (pious predecessors), such as the Almighty's saying: "Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise."

In conclusion: There is no harm in using these expressions, while being careful not to claim that a specific deed is the price of Paradise. Rather, every act of obedience by the servant is part of its price or down payment.
