What is the Centrist School of Thought?

Islam is a religion of moderation and temperance, forbidding harshness, extremism, excess, and negligence. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified this by saying: "By Allah, I am the one among you who fears Allah most and is most pious, yet I fast and break my fast, I pray and I sleep, and I marry women. So whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not of me." Thus, whoever adheres to his Sunnah is among the people of moderation, and whoever turns away from it is among the people of injustice or extremism.
