Is it permissible to perform ablution with hot water, and is there a limit to the temperature of the water used for ablution?

It is disliked to perform ablution with heated water if its temperature is so high that it prevents one from performing ablution thoroughly, and it is forbidden if its use results in harm. If water is heated with an impurity, it does not become impure according to the consensus of the imams, but its dislike is a matter of dispute among jurists; some disliked it due to the possibility of parts of the impurity reaching it, or because the heating itself was done using an impurity.
