What is the Sharīʿah's ruling on taking money from a person who is compelled to pay it to avert harm from himself, knowing that he will be held accountable for it on the Day of Resurrection?

The property of a Muslim person is not permissible [to take] except with their willing consent. Therefore, whatever is taken out of shame or similar circumstances without the owner's consent is like that which is taken by force. There is an explicit consensus that whoever takes something out of shame does not own it, because it is coercion by the sword of shame. The person whose property was taken in this manner has the right to demand it back from the taker, and the taker must return it unless pardoned. The worst of people is he whom people abandon to avoid his evil.
